How to Qualify for WIA educational
assistance:
START NOW – the process can take up to two months
- Complete the FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov)
- Pre-register and attend a WIA orientation
- Obtain required WIA documentation
- Select education or training program
- Meet with WDB Intake Specialist to be assigned to your
WIA Counselor
- Enroll at UNCC, CPCC or other institution with the courses
you need
- Pay for Education or Training using the WIA voucher provided
by your WIA Counselor
- Begin training for your new career
